Microsoft Has Released More Free Memory in the Xbox Series S

Xbox Series S is getting stronger than ever!

With the current generation, several console variants have been provided to us. While we can only talk about the PlayStation 5’s drive itself, or the lack of one, Microsoft’s hardware is more different already with the Series S and X.

While one machine targets digital games and 1080p resolution, the other targets 4K and the capability to launch games from discs as well. However, today the weaker variant is the star of the news, all because it may soon become “more powerful.”

While the words sound a bit humorous, in fact, they are completely true. Everything is due to the fact that more Xbox Series S memory has been made available to developers.

A precise number was not provided, but up to a few hundred megabytes can have a positive impact on the performance of more than one game.

Note that the hardware in question is provided with 10GB of RAM (in total), but to be precise it is 8GB on a 128-bit bus and 2GB on a 32-bit bus. So is there reason to be happy? In theory, by all means yes.

However, here much will depend on the developers, who, with a little more resources at their disposal, can better distribute the flow of data.

In turn, this can affect the operation and performance of a specific game. Right now we have to wait a bit for the results, but who knows, perhaps soon Xbox Series S will become even more exciting than before, and gamers themselves might feel that their favorite titles simply perform better? Time will tell.

Interested in how “Bomb Rush Cyberfunk” revives the dormant skating/graffiti genre for a new generation? Delve into our detailed analysis and see how it compares to the classics, from its fluid skating action to its vibrant Y2K-inspired visuals.
