Halo Infinite Third Season Content Delayed; Split-screen Co-op Mode Canceled

Developers of Halo Infinite are changing their plans constantly, which may not please gamers necessarily.

We have some pretty bad news for those still playing Halo Infinite. The developers, in fact, have decided to delay the release of the next season content and, in the process, have given up on further development of the split-screen cooperative mode. What this means is that the option will never make an appearance in the game.

343 Industries has published its plans for the development of Halo Infinite. According to the video, we learned that the online cooperative mode, the option to replay the same missions and the beta of Forge mode have been delayed.

In addition, they have decided to push back the release date of the third season content, Echoes Within. It was scheduled to debut in November, and now the date is said to be March 7, 2023.

Unfortunately, the worst situation is with the split-screen coop mode. The feature was confirmed in June 2019, and was later revealed that it would not be available for the game’s release.

Instead, it was to reach players in the form of an update at a somewhat different date. In the end, however, development on it was abandoned, meaning that it will never be completed.

In terms of what we can expect in the near future, Halo Infinite is coming out with a winter update on November 8.

It will include new maps, a new play mode and two events, but we still don’t know when the option to replay completed missions, something players have been awaiting for a long time, will appear.

Halo Infinite is now available on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Have you ever played this game? Let us know about your opinions of this game in the comments below.
