The Last of Us Part 1 fans are sweeping through every corner of the remake and think they are on the trail of Naughty Dog studio’s next big project. This is supposedly going to be a game in fantasy themes.
Such conclusions were made on the basis of four posters that were found in the game, showing dragons, swords and flying horses. It was not much, but enough to start another wave of speculation.
“A fantasy game from Naughty Dog is a dream, please charge straight into my veins”. – comments one thrilled gamer. “An open world fantasy game (something like The Witcher 3) from ND? That would be a dream come true.” – echoes someone else.
This is already the second wave of speculation, because in early 2021, the studio’s senior concept graphic designer Hyoung Taek Nam released a set of artwork featuring a warrior woman and a dragon on ArtStation, prompting a lot of discussion at the time, with regard to the direction of the famous company as well.
At that time, the author himself quickly assured that he was simply inspired by Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and we should not look for a second bottom in the illustrations. Yet there are no dragons in Ubisoft’s games, after all…
