Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a new action RGP from the creators of the Nioh series, and is due to debut on the market in a few months. Over the past few days, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners had the chance to test the production with a demo version.
Meanwhile, lots of gameplay excerpts from the said title have appeared online. In the meantime, Masaaki Yamagiwa – the game’s producer – has recently made an interview, in which he revealed that in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty all players will be facing the same challenge.
Yamagiwa was asked whether Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will come with any kind of difficulty levels, which will make the title itself more accessible.
The Team Ninja representative indicated, however, that the game will have only one difficulty level and it’s “good” to have one difficulty level, because all players then face the same experience, and can feel satisfaction after overcoming different types of challenges.
Meanwhile, the developers are eager to give players plenty of freedom and options to deal with a given challenge. With such an approach, the developers believe that players will be willing to share their experiences with other players and clarify how they tackled a particular challenge.
It is really important to keep the challenge at the same level and give players different ways to overcome it. Wo Long is not an easy game, but we are working to give users as much freedom as possible to play and overcome obstacles in their own way,” says Yamagiwa.
One thing the producer mentioned that can help players fight more powerful opponents is the Morale system, as mentioned some time ago.
Having defeated each opponent, the player’s character will become increasingly stronger, and overcoming more challenging opponents will greatly increase the mentioned indicator. This will prepare you to clash with difficult enemies.
Yamagiwa also highlights that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is not going to lack classic character development, making the player’s character stronger with progress.
In addition, the game will offer a network mode, where users will be able to invite up to two friends to play and face challenges together with them.
In conclusion, let’s recall that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is coming to PC and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. This game is scheduled to debut on the listed platforms in early 2023. This title will also hit the Xbox Game Pass service on its release date.
