The British police have confirmed that a 17-year-old arrested in Oxfordshire on Thursday is in fact connected to the Rockstar hack and the famous leak of footage from an early version of GTA 6.
The hacker was charged last Saturday with two counts of violating his bail conditions and two counts of breaking British computer misuse laws. He will answer to the Highbury Corner Juvenile Court in London.
“A law enforcement source has relayed that at least two other individuals are believed to be involved in the attack on Rockstar and Uber. Additional arrests are expected.” – The Desk website reads.
The arrests of A.K. – those are the initials carried by the perpetrator – occurred after an investigation by federal law enforcement officials from the United States, who cooperated with colleagues in the United Kingdom.
The investigators focused on finding similarities between the Rockstar hack and previous attacks on other technology companies that occurred this year. Those targeted include: Uber, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Samsung, Octa, Nvidia and Vodaphone.
