Unofficial reports say that BioShock 4 is due for a full-fledged release later this year. Unfortunately, almost nothing is currently known about the said production, but different kinds of leaks and rumors are coming to the rescue – as always in such cases.

This is no different this time, either. In fact, one of the industry informants have decided to share all the details he managed to collect about the upcoming installment of the BioShock series.

Source of the newest rumors about the BioShock 4 game is the Oops Leaks Twitter account, where credible information has been published more than once in the past.

However, in this case, the informant insists that he himself is not entirely sure that the details he has collected about the Cloud Chamber studio’s production are entirely true. But he decided to publish them because of fans who questioned him about the new BioShock installment.

EVERYTHING I KNOW AND HEARD ABOUT THE NEW BIOSHOCK

Do not take most of this information at face value, I thought for a long time whether it was worth sharing all of this at all but a large number of people crave for at least some information from me.

Oops Leaks says that the story of BioShock 4 will supposedly take place in Antarctica. This game is to offer an open world and several endings, with the visuals and art style, meanwhile, said to be somewhat similar to last year’s Deathloop from Arkane studio. The Informer goes on to describe the whole thing as “psychedelic” and “kick-ass.”

Gamers will play as a woman in BioShock 4. Besides, the game is also set to feature characters famous from previous installments of the series or their “alternative versions.”

This production will also offer a more diversified combat system, primarily through skills that can be used in various combinations. The terrain will also affect clashes with opponents. Meanwhile, the game itself is much larger than all previous installments in the series.

The announcement of the game was allegedly made late last year or early this year. But plans have changed because of the wave of layoffs at the Cloud Chamber studio.

Bioshock 4 game

At the moment, it’s not clear when we can expect the game to be revealed, though Oops Leaks doesn’t rule out that it will happen during the upcoming PlayStation Showcase or at The Game Awards 2022.

The release date of the game is also a big mystery. But reports from Take-Two – which owns the Cloud Chamber studio – suggest that BioShock 4 is expected to go on sale before the end of 2024. For more details on the debut of the said production, however, we have to wait a bit longer.

Last but not least, let’s remind that, according to the announcements, BioShock 4 is being developed for PCs as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. It is likely that the game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, which appeared to be confirmed by job offers published last year.
