Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties Has Debuted, the Add-on Fails To Impress Players

The Bloody Ties add-on for Dying Light 2 debuted on the market today, but gamers are not particularly pleased.

As announced earlier, today – November 10 – saw the market debut of the first Bloody Ties feature add-on for Dying Light 2: Stay Human by the Polish studio Techland. On PC, the add-on is now available for purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store, and also on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

The add-on’s price is set at $9.99 for PC and also the console versions, which is not high when you look at the price of such add-ons on the market.

Before getting to the community feedback, we should point out that in addition to the add-on, Techland studio also released an update with quite a few improvements. The patch, numbered 1.7.2, primarily restores the zombie screening feature, a feature that fans of the series will surely be familiar with from the first installment of the series.

Meanwhile, the developers are planning to improve it in subsequent patches – following feedback from the players themselves. In addition, of course, there will be minor fixes: interface, tasks or gameplay mechanics, plus the elimination of technical bugs. If you are interested in the full list of changes, check this address.

Uncover the Dark Depths of London’s Underworld: “Immerse yourself in the neon-drenched, violent streets of 1990s London with ‘Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance.’ Check out our comprehensive Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance review to learn about the film’s intense fight sequences, dynamic storytelling, and the unforgettable performance of Craig Fairbrass as the legendary gangster Pat Tate.”

However, shortly after the release, it became clear that Bloody Ties did not fulfill the expectations of many fans. Currently, at the time of writing this article, the add-on on the Steam platform has over 122 reviews, 45% of which are negative.

According to many players, the add-on simply failed to deliver much content in the end with most users complaining about too short a storyline and excessive emphasis placed on arena combat in the opera house.

Of course, some people like this form of play. But the whole thing is very short, even for the not particularly high price of the DLC.

Let’s further remind that Dying Light 2: Stay Human made its debut on February 4 this year, on PC and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned.

Delve into the Unique World of ‘Robot Dreams’: “Embark on an animated adventure through 1980s New York City in ‘Robot Dreams’. Check out our detailed analysis of Robot Dreams to experience a story that is as whimsical as it is profound.”
