Japanese manufacturer is pushing hard to get the new Kratos adventure and PlayStation 5 into the hands of many gamers by the end of the year. Brits can expect more hardware shipments, directly affecting game sales results. Take a look at the latest breakdown.

The God of War Ragnarok debuted on Sony’s two-generation consoles, but it is no secret that the developers from Santa Monica Studio put a lot of work into making the most of the PlayStation 5’s potential.

The new tale is the perfect addition to the purchase of the current-generation console, which is why the company is trying to meet the expectations of players in many markets, as is evident from the fresh sales results in the UK.

Santa Monica Studio’s debut title returned to the top spot in the UK with a 32% increase in interest. FIFA 23 (-18%) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (-14%) had to recognize the superiority of the new adventure of the god of war set in Norse mythology, moreover, and even the lower-ranked offerings received worse results compared to last week.

Pokemon Violet (-12%) outperformed Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (-32%), but it’ worth noting that Nintendo’s races still boast a respectable popularity among electronic gaming enthusiasts, and not just in the UK. The title has sold more than 48.41 million copies, in accordance with recent announcements.

However, The Callisto Protocol, the biggest last week’s novelty, dropped out of the TOP 10 – the horror game currently occupies the 12th place in the list (6th in the previous week).

This is how the ranking of the most purchased games in physical distribution in the UK (from December 4 to 10) looks like:

  1. God of War Ragnarok (3 – in the previous week)
  2. FIFA 23 (1)
  3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2)
  4. Pokémon Violet (4)
  5. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (4)
  6. Nintendo Sports Resort (8)
  7. Pokémon Scarlet (7)
  8. Sonic Frontiers (9)
  9. Animal Crossing: New Horizons (11)
  10. Minecraft (Switch) (10)
