The Last of Us 2 Director’s Cut Will Probably Be Developed

Sony has deleted some key footage of the game.

It was revealed in early January 2022 by Tom Henderson that Naughty Dog is currently working on a remake of The Last of Us, along with an expanded release for The Last of Us Part II.

Up until now, the follow-up to Ellie and Joel’s adventures has only received a patch allowing gameplay at 60 frames per second, but presumably Sony developers are also making The Last of Us Part 2 Director’s Cut.

This insider was right about the first part of the leak, because The Last of Us Part I was released in September this year.

Now fans of the brand can watch – in January 2023 – the series of the same name on the HBO Max platform, so that they can then play the refreshed The Last of Us Part 1 on PC and, in the future, get familiar with The Last of Us 2 Director’s Cut.

The rumors of an expanded 2020 release of the game intensified after curious gamers noticed that official footage showing the PlayStation 5 update of The Last of Us 2 was hidden by the developers themselves.

This YouTube video is no longer public, because its availability has been changed to “private,” so only the channel in charge of uploading the material to YouTube can view it. A move like this only says one thing – Sony is probably going to release The Last of Us 2 once again.

The most probable scenario is where a potential The Last of Us 2 extended edition will hit the PS5 first (with visual enhancements, a few features – including the use of the DualSense controller), for the developers to then flip the continuation of Ellie and Joel’s story to PC.
