Returnal Won’t Let PC and PS5 Gamers Play Together in Co-Op Mode

At The Game Awards 2022, we got the official announcement of the PC version of Returnal. The Housemarque studio’s production even lived to see its own product page on Steam, where hardware requirements, amongst other things, were disclosed.

But it turns out that this is not the only noteworthy information available on the Valve platform. In fact, the description of the production also touched on support for cross-play.

As reported on Steam, the Returnal will not allow PC and PlayStation 5 users to play together in cooperative mode. Thus, gamers interested in cooperative play will need to find a companion using the same platform.

The information is sure to sadden PC owners, who had hoped for the opportunity to spend time together with their friends playing on Sony’s latest console.

The PC version of Returnal is expected to debut “soon,” as announced. We do not know the exact release date, though. What do you think of this game? Let us know in the comments section below.
