Sony has just announced the return of the PlayStation 2 classic title Fantavision as a launch title made for the new PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset.
Fantavision 202X is under development by Cosmo Machia Inc. utilizing the Unreal Engine, and will revisit the puzzle-based formula of making fireworks explode by chaining together long combos that the original game had.
Sony has explained that “the basic goal of the game is to catch at least three fireworks of the same color and launch them into the night sky. Also you can get fireworks of different colors at the same time using Wild Fireworks and launch them with Daisy Chain, which matches multiple colors, and collect items to start the Starmine bonus mode. For the fireworks in PS VR2, you will have to aim at them and press the trigger. To launch them, you will use the circle button”.
In addition to the normal single-player mode, the game will also feature a replay mode featuring different cameras, time-pause options, effects and many more.
Fantavision 202X is scheduled to be released on February 22, 2023, the same day PlayStation VR2 will hit stores. What do you think about this game? Let us know in the comments section below.
