The Game Awards 2022: Most Watched Trailers on YouTube, These Are the Most Popular Games

The Game Awards 2022 went live yesterday and many games were presented. Of course, some of them were more appreciated than others, or, better said, they attracted more attention from the gaming world fans.

Now the question is which of those games are more popular? In the following you can see a list of the most viewed trailers on YouTube from The Game Awards:

  1. Star Wars Jedi Survivor – 4.9 million
  2. Hades II – 2.4 million
  3. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon – 2.2 million
  4. Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League – 2.1 million
  5. Death Stranding 2 – 1.9 million
  6. Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty – 1.6 million
  7. Diablo IV – 1.5 million
  8. Tekken 8 – 1.4 million

As explained by Benji-Sales, views were calculated by taking into account all videos that are purely trailers (so no trailer reaction videos or analysis footage) which had 30,000 views or more.

Thus, it is not a perfect count, but it does give us an idea of the order of magnitude of interest in the various games.

Of course, those numbers are bound to change over the next few hours and days, and some of the positions may reverse, but the more interesting part of this ranking is seeing which games are the most interesting to the public, more than seeing the exact numbers of views.

For instance, the Star Wars Jedi Survivor attracted enormous attention, with double figures compared to the runner-up, Hades II.

Furthermore, we can also see that a game from a long unused saga was also able to attract great attention: we’re talking about Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon that was able to compete with Hades II, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League and Death Stranding 2.

How do you guys feel about these games? Which trailers have you watched (or rewatched) since The Game Awards 2022?
