Yoko Taro Teasing on Tweeter in the Wake of Nier and Drakengard

The last year has been incredibly prolific for Yoko Taro, with the videogame producer ending 2022 with the release of the third installment of the Voice of Cards series.

After the launch of the latter, however, it seems that the Japanese creative is already ready to unveil the first details about his next project.

This is hinted at by Yoko Taro himself, through a teaser posted on his official Twitter account. In a tweet, in fact, the creator shared an interesting image, including artwork bearing the words “2023” in plain sight.

At present, not too many conclusions can be drawn from the mysterious Tweet, but it does seem quite evident that Yoko Taro intends to present his next videogame creation to the public as soon as possible.

Or – for that matter – some initial features of it.Over the last few years, Yoko Taro signed off on a large number of videogame works, including the critically acclaimed NieR: Automata.

On the heels of the extraordinary success of Action, Square Enix also relaunched the series with the release of NieR: Reincarnation and the return of NieR: Replicant.

Yoko Taro is a Japanese video game director and scenario writer best known for his work on the Drakengard series and the Nier series. He is known for his unconventional and often bizarre storytelling, as well as his signature mask, which he wears during public appearances.

As previously mentioned, Yoko Taro’s most recent creation is the Voice of Cards trilogy, card game series including the episodes The Isle Dragon Roars, the Forsaken Maiden and The Beasts of Burden. Just what do you hope her next creation will be?
