SEGA Sammy recently announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2022, which ended on March 31st. The company’s revenue for the year was a staggering 389.6 billion yen, up from 320 billion yen in the previous fiscal year.

This increase in revenue can be attributed to growth across all of the company’s business segments, including the entertainment market, pachislots/pachinko, and the resort segment.

The strong performance has set the bar high for the current fiscal year, as SEGA aims to achieve revenues of 433 billion yen and plans to release 12 new video games.

SEGA’s financial report reveals that the company is committed to providing gamers with a diverse range of games, as the 12 new games slated for release in 2023 span various genres and platforms.

The company is optimistic that these games will sell at least 12 million copies in total, which is a testament to the trust that consumers have in SEGA’s ability to deliver high-quality gaming experiences.

Next Sonic Game May Already Be in Development

One of SEGA’s recent successes has been the remastered version of Persona 5 Royal, which was released for PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, PC, and Switch.

Since its launch in November 2022, the game has sold 1.7 million copies, with an additional 700,000 units sold in the following four months, which included the holiday season.

It’s worth noting that these numbers exclude sales from the PS4 version, which has sold 3.3 million copies, according to the latest update provided by SEGA and Atlus.

SEGA’s commitment to delivering quality gaming experiences is evident in the success of Persona 5 Royal and the planned release of 12 new games in 2023.

As the company continues to grow, fans of SEGA’s games can expect even more exciting and innovative titles in the future.
