Forever Entertainment, the publisher behind Front Mission 2: Remake, has disclosed its decision to delay the game’s release indefinitely. The much-anticipated remake of the PlayStation classic was initially slated to launch on June 12.
The Decision Behind the Postponement
Front Mission 2: Remake is a significant undertaking by Storm Trident studio, slated to be released on the Nintendo Switch platform. However, Forever Entertainment has expressed its commitment to delivering a well-crafted and faithful rendition of the beloved franchise, necessitating the delay.
In a public statement, the publisher acknowledged, “As the release date of Front Mission 2: Remake drew nearer, we felt it was necessary to postpone the launch on the Nintendo Switch.”
The decision, made in close collaboration with the development team, reflects a commitment to investing adequate time for feature enhancement, implementation, and rigorous testing.
Balancing Expectations and Excellence
Forever Entertainment expressed understanding towards the anticipation and excitement shown by fans towards Front Mission 2: Remake. The statement further emphasized their full commitment to the successful delivery of a polished and true-to-original remake.

While a definitive release date remains undisclosed at present, Forever Entertainment has promised its dedication towards timely completion of the project. The current goal is to launch the game during the third quarter of 2023.
“Although we are currently unable to provide a revised release date, we promise to work relentlessly to finish the project at the earliest. Our aim is to release the game within the third quarter of the year,” the statement concluded.
