During the recent PlayStation Showcase, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 left fans spellbound, but a key detail – the game’s official release date – remained veiled in mystery. However, eagle-eyed fans believe they’ve unearthed a hidden clue in the gameplay trailer that could potentially reveal this much-anticipated date.

An Intriguing Theory

The Showcase unveiled a cornucopia of fresh gameplay from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but failed to provide a specific release date beyond a vague mention of Autumn 2023. Resourceful fans, however, now theorize that the release date might have been subtly embedded within the trailer itself.

According to the speculation, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 may be set for release on November 20, 2023. This would align with the generally announced release window and the lucrative Christmas sales season, creating a neat overall picture.

Decoding the Clue

This conjecture traces its origins to YouTuber AndyReloads, who observed a particular scene in the trailer where Peter Parker lands on an enemy vehicle, and the player character then shifts to Miles Morales.

Amid this action-packed sequence, an interesting imprint on the Hummer caught the YouTuber’s attention. Though difficult to discern at first glance, the imprint reads “201123,” which, if interpreted as a date, could signify November 20, 2023.

A Grain of Salt

While intriguing, this hypothesis should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, why would the game’s release date remain shrouded in mystery unless Sony and Insomniac Games were orchestrating a meticulously planned marketing strategy?

Another conundrum arises from the unconventional date format. The studio, based in the United States, seems to have opted for a British-style date format for this supposed hint. Moreover, November 20, 2023, falls on a Monday, an unusual day for blockbuster releases, although there have been notable exceptions, such as God of War Ragnarök.

In conclusion, the hidden number series in the trailer is likely just that – a series of numbers, possibly not a coded reveal of the release date. But rest assured, we will keep our ears to the ground and bring you official updates on the subject as soon as they surface.
