Today, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 welcomes the arrival of three notorious supe members from The Seven as new operators: Homelander, Black Noir, and Starlight. However, this crossover between the popular game and the dark superhero series, The Boys, has sparked some controversy and raised questions among fans.
The addition of The Seven to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has left many players scratching their heads. In The Boys, these supposed superheroes are actually deeply flawed individuals, with the exception of Starlight.
The leader of The Seven, Homelander, is depicted as a mass murderer, rapist, and deranged lunatic. Although the other team members may not match his level of violent criminality, they are complicit in the corruption that pervades The Seven.
Curiously, the game missed the opportunity to include the actual protagonists of The Boys, who are dedicated to combating The Seven’s corruption. Characters like Butcher or Frenchie, who embody the spirit of the “good guys” and fit the action-packed gameplay, would have been a more logical choice.

Unleashing Superpowers: Temp V Field Upgrade
To level the playing field against the supe-laden operators, Warzone introduces a new field upgrade called Temp V. This upgrade grants players one of four random superpowers, inspired by the TV series The Boys:
Charge Jump: Propels the player across the map without fall damage and deals splash damage upon landing.
Electric Shockwave: Sends a powerful electrical explosion that damages operators, AI combatants, vehicles, and equipment.
- Laser Vision: Levitates the player and fires a searing laser beam at enemy targets.
- Teleport: Warps the player high into the air.
These superpowers can be activated repeatedly after the initial use. However, if a player is eliminated before activating the power, it will be dropped and lost.
Homelander, Black Noir, and Starlight will be available as operators in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. The Temp V field upgrade is exclusive to Warzone and DMZ modes, with slightly rarer occurrences in DMZ. This update is part of Season 4 Reloaded.
