As the eagerly anticipated January 23 release of Diablo IV’s Season 3 draws near, Blizzard has unveiled a strategic deep dive into the “Season of the Construct.” This season introduces a unique gameplay element: the Seneschal Companion, an integral part of the player’s journey through the perilous Vaults, a new dungeon type designed to challenge even the most experienced adventurers.

At the core of Season 3 is the acquisition and customization of the Seneschal Companion, obtained through the Seasonal Questline. This questline is accessible by creating a new Seasonal Character and selecting the “Skip Main Campaign” option, allowing players to dive directly into the heart of the season’s challenges.

The customization of the Seneschal Companion is a key strategic element. Players can equip their companion with Governing and Tuning Stones, each offering unique abilities and modifications.

From launching mini-Constructs to intercepting enemy projectiles, these stones provide a wide array of tactical options. Players are encouraged to mix and match two Governing Stones and six Tuning Stones (three per Governing Stone) to create powerful and diverse combinations.

Earning Your Arsenal

Acquiring these Governing and Tuning Stones involves braving the new Vaults, where lethal hazards and enemy Constructs lie in wait. Besides Vaults, these stones can also be obtained by defeating the Seasonal Boss, completing Arcane Tremors in the Overworld, or through achievements in the Season Journey. Additionally, vanquished enemy Constructs drop Shattered Stone, essential for crafting these powerful stones at a local Jeweler.

Players can further enhance their stones by merging similar-quality stones, escalating their level and effectiveness. This progression is crucial for turning the Seneschal Companion into a formidable ally against the Constructs.
