Okay squirrel friends, let’s catch up on the tea! World famous drag icon RuPaul is back with another international smackdown of fierce queens. For those just tuning in, Mama Ru’s been serving flawless realness on TV for over a decade with her hit show RuPaul’s Drag Race. But recently she expanded the party overseas by launching special spinoff seasons in the UK, Canada, Australia – you name it.

Well, the latest event on the circuit is RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World Season 2, which gathers top talent from different franchises for a battle royale. Now if you remember the first season of UK vs The World…oooh gurl. It was a bumpy ride, to say the least! Some gaggy eliminations, wonky judging, and more tea spills than a Boston harbor party. Needless to say, the fans were shook.

But faster than you can death drop, RuPaul is back to make things right in round two! This fresh crop of international all-stars features fan faves from Holland, Thailand, France and beyond, all moving into the UK werkroom and competing for the ultimate crown. With 11 fierce queens representing 7 countries, this season is a tense but vibrant cultural exchange that would impress even the United Nations! So get those rainbow flags waving – it’s time for a global celebration of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent!

Meet the Royal Court

Alright, let’s spill the tea on this cast of international icons! First up is Scarlet Bobo, the Canadian comedy queen who slayed with sharp wit but just missed snatching the crown. Then there’s sweet songbird Choriza May from España, whose hilarious confessionals were a pitch-perfect delight.

Sashaying in from Down Under is helmet-haired hottie Hannah Conda, who brought the laughs but struggled in the performance challenges. Representing Holland is the daring diva Keta Minaj, best known for her avant garde aesthetics and unfiltered opinions. And Thai sensation Marina Summers stunned the judges week after week with showstopping fashions that prove she was born for the spotlight.

Of course, Mama Ru had to invite some homegrown talents too! Britain’s very own Tia Kofi charmed fans with her self-deprecating humor and famously flawed runways. While All Stars alum Mayhem Miller hopes this worldwide stage can help prove why she’s legendary in the Los Angeles scene.

With winners, early exits, and middle-of-the-pack fan faves, this cast has razor-sharp talents but a fuzzier team dynamic. Without the outrageous personalities of last season, tensions may stay lower and sisterhood might just prevail! Well, at least until the competition really tightens up…but let’s enjoy an international love fest while we can!

Lights, Camera, Sashay!

The first challenge kicked off with a talent show extravaganza letting these global talents put their best stiletto forward. But a shocking health scare almost sidelined Mama Ru herself! Turns out Ru came down with a wicked witch’s curse that left her sounding raspy as a pack-a-day Bea Arthur. But the show must go on, and Ru persevered to lead the judging panel with grace, humor and questionable medical choices. We stan a dedicated queen!

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World Season 2 Review

Sashaying down the runway were spectacular acts that spanned seven continents of creativity. Scarlet Bobo charmed with whip-smart comedy, while pocket rocket La Grande Dame fired up the dance floor au naturel. Latin lovely Choriza May tickled the ivories and our hearts with her SuppOsorries song. And Marina Summers stunned in a traditional Thai costumer quicker than you can say “fierce!”

But the highlight was Spanish sensation Arantxa Castilla La Mancha. This kooky queen already won over España fans as their Hannah Montana-inspired breakout, but her glo’d up Princess Peach look instantly anointed her the Jimbo of the season. Between her avant basic style and natural charisma, Arantxa is poised for the hall of fame!

As for group chemistry, no one was serving reality-bending chaos like last year (thank gawd). A few playful lines were drawn between the seasoned All Stars and the jet lagged girls just off the plane. But overall the dynamic feels chill and sisterly for now. And the judges reflected the lighter spirit too, keeping critiques constructive and compliments flowing freely. Can we get an alley-oop! After the hellfire that rained down last season, seeing Ru and Michelle laughing along charitably just warms the heart. Here’s hoping the good vibes keep grooving all season long!

Reading the Tea Leaves

Based off this congenial premiere, we expect fans to eat up UK vs The World Season 2 with a rhinestone-encrusted spoon! The talent level seems sky high, the workroom vibes are pleasantly chill, and the judges are keeping critiques cute instead of cutting too deep. Hallelu!

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World Season 2 Review

After the whiplash highs and lows of last season, this reboot feels poised to deliver glittering gowns along with good faith. Sure, some shock eliminations or surprise villain edits could still spotlight trouble. But right now, it’s all international sisterhood up in the werkroom.

The bigger question may be – can this spinoff keep shining amidst expanding Drag Race fatigue? With new local versions launching worldwide, plus All Star editions multiplying like Gremlins, some viewers are sashaying away from the ever-growing franchise. But based on the premiere’s talent extravaganza, UK vs The World still serves up piping hot lewks and charisma that should seduce loyal fans back for second helpings. New viewers may need some Ru-ducation on the backstories though. So brush up on your herstory, squirrel friends! Class is in session.

Should You Tune In?

In the immortal words of Latrice Royale – Oh yes gawd! If you’re craving an uplifting global celebration of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent, then absolutely make a rainbow-hued date with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World!

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World Season 2 Review

Though the premiere starts slightly slow, it sets up tons of potential as these fierce queens fight to make their home countries proud. The refreshed judging and congenial workroom dynamics also promise more sunshine ahead compared to last year’s thunderstorms.

Sure, some acting challenges may hit bum notes or runways could flop without warning. And even in peace there is always the threat of sudden assassinations! But that’s the wildly unpredictable magic of Drag Race, kitty girls. So buckle up those stiletto seatbelts and get ready to cheer on your international sisters as they battle for global bragging rights. It’s time to spread musical theater realness from London to Lapland and beyond! Now sashay away before I get too sentimental. Go watch this show, I insist!
