According to reports from The Verge, the Xbox showcase is currently planned for Sunday, June 9th, which falls in line with the timing of the Summer Game Fest event kicking off a few days earlier on June 7th. The Verge states that Microsoft is “in the middle of planning for its big summer Xbox showcase” and that the company “is currently planning to announce a new Gears of War game at the show.”
Beyond the Gears 6 reveal, the report indicates the June 9th showcase will also feature release date announcements for several other major Xbox titles, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and this year’s new Call of Duty game, which is being developed by Activision, now a Microsoft subsidiary.
