Fans of Moon Studios’ acclaimed Ori games are in for a treat, as the acclaimed developer has unveiled the launch trailer for its ambitious new title, “No Rest for the Wicked.” Set to hit Steam Early Access on April 18th, the game promises to deliver a visually striking and expansive action-RPG experience.

The new trailer “further showcases the painterly art style of the game, while giving a glimpse into the story and some of the characters players will interact with,” according to the studio. The video offers a tantalizing look at the game’s lush, Tolkien-esque world, hinting at the deep narrative and diverse cast of characters that players will encounter on their journey.

“As our most ambitious game to date, we know that we will need your feedback to help us fine tune and build all of Wicked’s various systems and upcoming features into the best they can possibly be,” the development team stated on the game’s Steam page.

While the Early Access version launching this week will include only the first chapter and additional quests, Moon Studios has promised that the full 1.0 release will be a “significantly expanded version” that adds features such as 4-player co-op, PvP, an expanded story, and much more.

“We want our game to enable players to feel what it’s like to be worthy of the [protagonist’s] mantle in unique, story-driven ways,” said Kevin Stephens, the studio head of Cliffhanger Games, the EA-affiliated team responsible for the upcoming Black Panther title.

no rest for the wicked

This sentiment seems to align perfectly with Moon Studios’ vision for “No Rest for the Wicked,” which aims to immerse players in a dynamic, evolving world filled with engaging characters and challenging combat. The game’s special introductory price of £31.49 on Steam, as well as the inclusion of the exclusive Cerim Armour set for early adopters, should provide an enticing incentive for fans eager to dive into this ambitious new adventure.

With the Ori series firmly establishing Moon Studios as a premier creator of visually stunning and narratively rich gaming experiences, anticipation is high for “No Rest for the Wicked” to continue the studio’s legacy of delivering captivating and genre-defining titles. Fans will be able to experience the game’s stunning world and immersive gameplay when it launches on Steam Early Access this week.
