Michael B. Jordan made an appearance at Amazon’s upfront presentation on Monday, unveiling the first television series connected to the Creed franchise. Titled Delphi, the series has been ordered by Prime Video and will explore the lives of young fighters training at the Delphi gym.

The new series expands the Creed film world, originally built around the son of Rocky character Apollo Creed. Jordan, who portrayed Adonis Creed across three films, will executive produce Delphi through his Outlier Society banner. Marco Ramirez, whose credits include The Defenders and Daredevil, has been named showrunner. Ramirez joins Jordan and Liz Raposo as executive producers for Outlier Society. Irwin, David, and Charles Winkler will also produce under Winkler Films, maintaining continuity from the film series.

No casting or release schedule has been announced. Prime Video will distribute the series in more than 240 countries and territories.

Jordan took the stage at New York’s Beacon Theatre to discuss the development of the Creed universe and shared background on how it began. He said the concept for Adonis Creed was introduced to him by Ryan Coogler before either of them started production on Fruitvale Station. “Before we shot one frame for that movie, he pitched to me the idea for Adonis Creed,” Jordan told the audience.

He described the upcoming series as an opportunity to return to the spirit of the franchise. “What I love about this story is that it stays true to what the Rocky and Creed franchise is all about: hard work, determination, fighting for something bigger than yourself,” Jordan said. “It’s about family—the ones we’re born into and the ones we create.”

Delphi marks the first live-action television expansion for the Creed property, which launched in 2015 with Coogler directing and Jordan in the lead role. The third film, Creed III, was released in 2023 and marked Jordan’s debut as director. He also produced Creed II and served as a key creative figure across all three installments.

Courtenay Valenti, now Head of Film, Streaming, and Theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios, introduced Jordan at the event. Valenti previously held an executive role at Warner Bros., which released all three Creed films. She highlighted Jordan’s involvement in several future titles at Amazon, including The Thomas Crown Affair, in which he will direct, produce, and star.

During his remarks, Jordan also acknowledged Sinners, the Ryan Coogler-directed feature currently in theaters. Though released by Warner Bros., he took a moment to thank audiences for their support of the film. The shout-out drew some of the loudest applause of the presentation.

Ramirez brings extensive experience in television. Alongside Daredevil and The Defenders, he created La Máquina for Hulu, a boxing-focused series featuring Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna. His work spans The Twilight Zone, Orange Is the New Black, Sons of Anarchy, and Fear the Walking Dead.

Outlier Society is represented by M88, WME, 2PM Sharp, and attorney Greg Slewett.
