In the first WrestleMania of the Monday Night War era with WCW, Vince McMahon chose to do one thing in particular: not finish his biggest show of the year with his world championship. Rather, it was an affair between NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor and veteran Bam Bam Bigelow. Why Bam Bam?
Well, because he spent months training with Taylor in an effort to choreograph a decent fight for the end of the gala. And this was a worthy fight under the circumstances, which demonstrates Bigelow’s great talent. But it remains a disappointing choice to end such an important gala.
