There is no doubt that Stray is the must-play video game of the moment because of its cat protagonist. It is not only a hit with thousands of simultaneous players on Steam, but it also received praise from critics and gamers alike.
In addition to all of the above, it is also nice to find out that this project by Annapurna Interactive and BlueTwelve Studio was the engine that drove multiple charitable initiatives for, you guessed it, the neediest kitties.
Not long ago the distributor of this exploration title partnered with the charities Nebraska Humane Society and Cats Protection in a great initiative. The campaign specifically seeks to raise funds to help kittens that live in unfavorable situations.
While this effort is very commendable, but certainly not enough to help all the stray cats in need of assistance. Thankfully, more and more organizations are choosing to do their bit. Indeed, Stray is helping a lot to these noble charitable causes.
Shelter Streams Stray on Twitch To Get Donations and Help Kittens
The animal shelter Crits for Cats has started streaming Annapurna Interactive and BlueTwelve Studio’s video game on its Twitch channel. As a result, viewers can help the kittens living at the shelter with donations and bits.

That animal organization does rescue and adaptation work. Before the launch of Stray, it ran live streams showing rescued kittens on camera while playing other titles such as Final Fantasy VII Remake, and so on. This was, of course, to raise funds to cover the inherent costs of a shelter.
Luckily, the sci-fi video game was a perfect fit for Crits for Cats. Indeed, broadcasting a title where the main character is a cute orange kitten is a nice way to attract fans of these animals and raise awareness about the benefits of adaptation, as well as to get donations from the audience.

With a little luck, an increasing number of animal shelters and other charities will join these causes and use Stray to save the lives of kittens who, unfortunately, live on the street and need help.
