Halo Infinite Co-op Without Network Matchmaking

Xbox confirms the news

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is about to get an option for passing the campaign in co-op, but players need to look for interested parties to play. There will be no simple matchmaking in the game, which would let any fan of the IP experience a co-op adventure.

343 Industries has been preparing for the release of co-op in Halo Infinite, but there is much to suggest that the developers will not provide the expected feature from release. Gamers can’t count on finding willing players easily, as the title doesn’t offer network matchmaking.

GamesRadar+ editors were able to receive confirmation from an Xbox representative, who urged, among other things, the use of Discord, in which we should find those willing to play:

“Network matchmaking will not be available in co-op. We encourage you to continue to use Halo LFG and the new Discord voice call feature on your Xbox console to find players with whom you can form groups as you continue to play the beta.”

The situation is surprising, as Halo Infinite is a rather fun game that should encourage you to find friends, and easy matchmaking would certainly help you find new friends with whom you would then play PVP matches.

The developers, however, will not offer the expected option. However, hopefully everyone interested will soon be able to check out Halo’s co-op.
