For years there have been rumors about a new part of the “Grand Theft Auto” series. Now, a new codename for “GTA 6” is circulating through the rumor mill for Rockstar Games’ title.
Who doesn’t know it? “GTA” is certainly one of the most famous game brands, if not the most famous at the moment. Developer Rockstar Games initially landed mega sales records like crazy on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with 2013’s “Grand Theft Auto 5.”
This was followed by further versions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, so that gamers have purchased the gangster game well over 155 million times to date. But will Michael, Trevor and Franklin be part of the action again in “GTA 6”? At the moment, the rumor mill is literally boiling over.
GTA 6: Codename Fireball with Tamara?
This is because busy “GTA” fans have discovered that there is a possible working title for “Grand Theft Auto 6”. The Reddit user u/morsmutual had even noticed this among several voice actors. The resume of voice actress Natonia Monet explicitly stated Rockstar Games’ “Fireball Video Game” project, though the entry has since disappeared. Her role was probably Tamara.
Are all GTA rumors false?
More recently, a “GTA 6” leak appeared on Reddit, which has also since been deleted, ranting about the first details – such as gangs and story missions. But insider Jason Schreier classified all the rumors as mere unfulfilled fan wishes, saying that there were no three main characters in the game and that all this was not true because he was the only one who was so well informed.
However, the fact is: In March 2022, “GTA 5” was released in an enhanced version for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Therefore, while Rockstar keeps promoting it professionally, fans are finally wishing for a sequel.
Time and again, rumors about a possible “GTA 6” have been making the rounds on the web. Some experts even claim to have identified a potential launch date. Rockstar Games has so far only stated that there will be another “GTA” game.
