Work on the Set of Echo Series Is Finished

What is the story of new Marvel Studios series about?

Echo Disney plus

The Marvel Studios has completed shooting work on the set of the next comic series heading to the Disney+ platform. We’re talking about the “Echo,” which will explore the further fate of Maya Lopez from “Hawkeye.” Alaqua Cox, or the actress playing the lead role, informed of the closure of the production.

The series plot will be set after the events we saw in “Hawkeye,” showing how Maya Lopez tries to find her own way in the fight against crime, to transform herself for good into the superheroine known as Echo.

The character will have to face her past and reconnect with her Indian heritage in order to move forward. Cox spoke of Friday’s completion of shooting for the MCU series as part of a recent account on her Instagram.

The production work lasted four months (the first clapper on the Atlanta set fell in the second half of April this year). The Disney+ premiere is scheduled for spring 2023.

The cast of “Echo,” besides Cox, includes Graham Greene, known among others for his role in “Dancing with Wolves,” as well as Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning and Zahn McClarnon.

It was also confirmed that both Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox playing the iconic interpretation of Daredevil will return in the production. Marion Dayre, who has worked on the “Call Saul” series, amongst others, has written the script for the series.
