The first reports of an expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming surfaced last night. Many signs indicate that the Redmond giant is putting its sights on further expanding its cloud options and adding more games to its catalog – which is a very interesting option for users of the technology.

Microsoft shared a number of plans for expanded services in June, which included the ability to play games from its catalog via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

According to Ashley McKissick, corporate vice president, Gaming Experience & Platforms, XGP Ultimate subscribers would be able to enjoy the games they own in a new way later this year. When buying an item, the player would not have to download it at least to the Xbox, and can start playing thanks to the cloud.

The first information about games that are available on Xbox Cloud Gaming, but not included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog, appeared last night. Those users who have them in their libraries will have instant access to play.

Gamers have noticed that the Xbox Cloud Gaming option has appeared in Elden Ring, Soul Hackers 2, Resident Evil 7, GTA V, GTA Online and Red Dead Online – with Rockstar including Microsoft’s cloud as a new platform.

The annotation also appeared in Call of Duty Vanguard, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and WWE 2K22.

As you can see, there are newer or older titles in the list, as well as productions which are yet to debut – namely Soul Hackers 2 will hit the market on August 26.

However, it seems very likely that Microsoft will soon make an announcement about the details of access to games via Xbox Cloud Gaming. This service is available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate customers.

What’s interesting is that the option was still available last night, but they quickly fixed the oversight, so that the indicated items will not yet be checked through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
