Insomniac Games last year announced Marvel’s Wolverine, which is the next entry after Marvel’s Spider-Man from the Marvel universe by this developer.
PC gamers as of late have been able to play not only the Spider-Man, but they will soon get the Miles Morales spin-off as well. Meanwhile, Insomniac is busily developing a game about Wolverine, which is beloved by comic book fans.
Marvel’s Wolverine has only received a short teaser and… that’s it. At the same time, the developers have admitted that it will not be a smaller or side game. This is a full-fledged large-scale title, on top of that, designed for an adult audience.
Therefore, it promises to be a juicy and brutal adventure. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about the details of the gameplay. After all, Wolverine is a very different character from Spider-Man so we do not expect a repeat of the same.
Apparently, fans can’t wait and have gotten busy plotting their own concepts. TeaserPlay channel is busy creating just such imaginings. Recently a video surfaced there showing a fan concept for Marvel’s Wolverine and… it’s fantastic. So much so that even if the game itself had a similar vibe, I wouldn’t be offended.
However, the video is short and it doesn’t show too much – it rather offers an idea of the atmosphere or a snippet of gameplay.
Embedding Wolverine’s adventures in the wooded areas of the United States is not only lightly associated with at least Days Gone, but it would be loyal to the comics and would be quite an attraction for fans. It wouldn’t surprise us if Insomniac itself was planning a similar atmosphere for its game.
Let us point out, by the way, that Insomniac has recently announced that it has reached the next stage of the game’s development, albeit we wouldn’t expect a very quick release.
