Although the game going gold does not necessarily mean that it is 100 percent finished. In fact, the title could still require some final touches, and possibly a release patch.

Such a term is usually used to describe a product which is ready to be shipped to the pressing plant and start production of discs that will hit stores in boxes.
However, this is a confirmation that the release of The Callisto Protocol is not threatened, and the game is almost certainly going to hit stores and our devices on the planned date, namely as early as December 2 this year.
In fact, the developers have previously mentioned that they are not expecting any delays. They have also insisted that there will be a performance mode that offers 60 frames per second on current-generation consoles.
