The Ubisoft is another major developer and publisher looking to make a comeback on Steam. Having offered games exclusively on its platform, then uploaded productions to the Epic Games Store, it is time for a bang-up return to Valve land.
Last week Ubisoft confirmed plans to end support for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game is set to receive its final expansion soon, and then the developers should focus exclusively on the next installments – the French developer and publisher will deliver a new installment in the series about stealth killers next year.
Leaks have already surfaced in recent weeks suggesting the return of Ubisoft’s item on Steam, and now the editors of Eurogamer have confirmed the details – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be the first of three items that will land on Valve’s platform soon.
“We are constantly evaluating how to deliver our games to different audiences wherever they are, while ensuring a consistent ecosystem of players through Ubisoft Connect. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions are among the Ubisoft titles that will be released on Steam,” an Ubisoft spokesperson told Eurogamer today.
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla already have an official card on Steam – the production will debut on December 6, so faithful fans of the platform finally will be able to get acquainted with the Frenchman’s giant item.
After Activision, Ubisoft is the next publisher that, though it has focused on its store in recent years, decided to put its games on Steam in 2022.
