Need for Speed Unbound Leverages the Potential of the PS5

Criterion Games collaborated with Sony to use the potential of the PlayStation 5 and give gamers the appropriate experience.

The developers did not forget, among other things, the potential of the DualSense controller and players in this case will feel the slightest bumps on the road.

Need for Speed Unbound is another production, whose developers have remembered the unique features of the PlayStation 5. For starters, Alex Spencer (racing writer) has confirmed on Sony’s blog that the game is going to offer gameplay at 60 frames per second and 4K resolution.

A representative of EA mentioned that “the power of PlayStation 5” would allow us to enjoy every detail of the game, and that even the CPU will provide “higher density of traffic and pedestrians”.

And as a result, we would see a more vivid world while racing. Lakeshore city on PS5 is supposed to be packed with cars that can drive into the player.

Haptic controller vibrations will allow us to feel “every bump in the road,” and PlayStation 5 owners can also count on richer sound – all courtesy of Tempest 3D Audio engine technology.

We can peek at a brief shot from Need for Speed Unbound for dessert, but sadly we still haven’t been given a larger demonstration where we’d see the full race.
