Is Metal Gear Solid Remake Coming to the Game Awards?

It’s been a long time since Sony announced any new PlayStation 5 productions, with 2023 already upon us. But it turns out that the company may be showing something interesting at The Game Awards 2022.

Sony and Konami are both investing quite heavily in refreshing their flagship brands, combining their forces, as was the case with the cult Silent Hill 2, a remake of which is being prepared by Poland’s Bloober Team.

Now according to what the PlayStation Lifestyle website reports, Konami and Sony are set to announce a new joint project at Thursday’s The Game Awards.

According to recent rumors, it is to be a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid, likely to be the responsibility of Bluepoint, authors of the brilliant Demon’s Souls for the PlayStation 5.

Sadly, all major rumor-mongers are a bit afraid of the consequences, and apart from the quoted source, nobody is yet confirming these reports.

Nonetheless, MGS Remake has been rumored for quite some time, and Geoff Keighley loves Kojima and his works so much that he could secure such an announcement.
