Recently, 343 Industries, a highly esteemed development studio within Xbox Game Studios, has been hit with a significant wave of layoffs affecting over sixty employees.
This news has understandably caused concern among fans of the Halo franchise, who fear for its future amidst the instability at the company.
However, the head of 343 Industries, Pierre Hintze, has sought to reassure fans by stating that “Halo and the Master Chief are here to stay.” He went on to assure that the studio will continue to develop the franchise, including “epic stories, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great.”
