For years, the debate has been going on about whether there should be an easy difficulty level in games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring.
A fan has decided to take matters into his own hands and published a modification that allows you to enjoy the game without having to fight for your life.
The developers from the FromSoftware studio have created a beautiful and magnetic world, however, it is sometimes difficult to enjoy it in peace.
At every step dangers await, while powerful enemies sometimes block access to further areas. Moder rainergeis has decided to turn Elden Ring into a walking simulator and has created the Peaceful Ring mod for this purpose.
“Peaceful Ring turns all enemies in Elden Ring into peaceful NPCs. The enemies will not attack, no matter what. The mod is designed for those who may want to see everything in the game without having to fight. You can still kill enemies, including bosses necessary to pass the game.” – reads the modification’s description.
The method of operation is downright trivial – after installation, mod disables the artificial intelligence of enemies, so they become a passive part of the scenery.
It is still possible to attack enemies and kill bosses, who will remain passive. This has a couple of practical uses – for example, one can explore the Lands Between in peace, or get acquainted with the placement of enemies on more difficult stages in a safe environment.
The installation is quite simple, as well – simply download the file from Nexus and flip it into the ModEngine 2 folder.
You can find the software needed for the mods on the project’s GitHub page. Note, however, that any tampering with the game’s code is against the rules and almost certainly will end in banning your account. Mods for FromSoftware productions are best installed only offline and on a spare account.
