Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new series, Ahsoka, on Disney+. The show’s release date and the first trailer have already been revealed, and now we have more exciting news – the first season of the series will consist of eight episodes.

Actor Ray Stevenson, who portrayed Gar Saxon in Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, spilled the beans during a recent interview at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 event in London.

Stevenson’s interview with Collider revealed that the first season of Ahsoka will follow the trend set by The Mandalorian, which also had eight episodes per season.

When asked about his favorite episode of the upcoming series, Stevenson said he couldn’t choose just one, since there are eight exciting episodes to look forward to. This news has fans even more excited about what’s in store for the beloved character.

Although it’s too early to say whether Ahsoka will have future seasons, the lead actress, Rosario Dawson, has expressed her enthusiasm for continuing the story if fans show their support.

Dawson recently said that she’s ready to do more if the audience is ready: “If this goes well, maybe we’ll get a second season. It depends on you. I’m ready if you are.”

The Star Wars Celebration event also revealed that Lars Mikkelsen will be returning to the franchise to play a major villain in Ahsoka, adding to the already high level of anticipation for the show.

With the announcement of the episode count, fans are counting down the days until the series finally premieres on Disney+ in August 2023.

Overall, Ahsoka promises to be an exciting addition to the Star Wars universe, and fans can’t wait to see where the story takes the beloved character.

With eight action-packed episodes in the first season, it’s sure to be a thrilling ride that will leave viewers wanting more.
