Few console games have elicited as much fervor among PC gamers as FromSoftware’s Bloodborne. Year after year, the community’s ardent desire for a PC version of the game goes unanswered, with another PlayStation Showcase passing without any news of Bloodborne.
Widely acclaimed as one of FromSoftware’s masterpieces, the game remains shackled to the PS4’s technical limitations. Yet the PC gaming community is undeterred, their hopes of seeing Bloodborne on PC never wavering. The passion for the game has even led them to construct a Bloodborne-inspired PC, a true testament to their dedication.
The Hope for an Enhanced Experience
Bloodborne has not received any notable enhancements on the PlayStation 5 since its original launch. This situation fuels the hope among PC gamers that, once Bloodborne finally graces their preferred platform, they can revel in the best iteration of the game to date.
They believe that the inherent versatility of the PC platform would elevate the Bloodborne experience beyond its current confines. Furthermore, the possibility of mod support, a distinct advantage of PC gaming, further stokes their anticipation.
The PC Born From Yharnam
The Bloodborne-inspired PC is the fruit of a collaboration between ASUS Australia and Aftershock PC Australia, created for the renowned YouTuber and streamer Lance McDonald, a notable figure within the Souls community.
This high-end PC sports details reminiscent of Bloodborne, featuring a saw-blade cover nestled within the PC, cable bandages, and a motif of the Forgotten Woods mill adjacent to the motherboard.
“I was meant to wait until the PlayStation Showcase to tweet this, but hey, it’s too late now,” McDonald announced via Twitter before the PlayStation Showcase, hoping to preemptively hint at some form of official announcement. This didn’t materialize, but the custom PC stands as a palpable declaration of the PC community’s adoration for Bloodborne, providing more impetus for Sony to seriously contemplate a Bloodborne PC release.
A Showcase Sans Bloodborne
Despite the absence of Bloodborne at the recent PlayStation Showcase, the event brought forth exciting revelations, including new details about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the release date and gameplay footage of Alan Wake 2, the announcement of a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, and more.
However, for those with Bloodborne in their hearts, the wait continues. The Bloodborne-inspired PC serves as a symbol of their unwavering hope and steadfast demand for their beloved game’s arrival on PC.
