The newly released Dawntrail teaser trailer provides an enticing glimpse into the exciting journey that awaits players. The Warrior of Light will explore the New World, Tural, accompanied by familiar faces like Alphinaud, Alisaie, and Erenville.
The expedition kicks off with a voyage across the Indigo Deep, where players will be summoned to assist a visitor from the New World in a significant rite of succession. Rumors abound that this adventure may even lead to the legendary gates of a city of gold.
Plenty of Fresh Content
Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida delighted fans with a sneak peek at what Dawntrail has in store. The expansion promises a compelling new storyline, an increased level cap, numerous exciting jobs, sprawling new areas, and an array of core battle content like FATEs, Hunts, Treasure Hunts, and sidequests.

Yoshida also unveiled a major graphical update to accompany the expansion. Players can anticipate significant improvements to character and world visuals, with higher-resolution textures, enhanced shadows, and improved material qualities. The developers are committed to enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal, providing an immersive experience for all players.
Even Further Expanded Free Trial
As a generous gesture to newcomers, Final Fantasy XIV is expanding its Free Trial offering. With the launch of Patch 6.5 later this year, players will gain access to the third expansion, Stormblood, and all the way up to level 70.
Aspiring adventurers can now try out the Red Mage and Samurai jobs with no playtime limitations. The popularity of the Free Trial has grown so much that, in the words of a famous film, it seems they’ll need a “bigger meme” to accommodate all the eager newcomers.
