Paramount+ has officially marked September 19 as the release date for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” Fans of the iconic heroes in a half-shell can rejoice as the film will be available for streaming on the service starting Tuesday, September 19, in the United States and Canada. Further details regarding the film’s availability in international Paramount+ markets will be disclosed in due course.
This latest animated adaptation, inspired by the characters originally created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, made its theatrical debut in July. The storyline centers on the four Turtle brothers, who, after years of seclusion from the human world, embark on a mission to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be acknowledged as normal teenagers through their heroic endeavors.
Assisting them in their quest is their newfound friend, April O’Neil (portrayed by Ayo Edibiri), as they confront a shadowy crime syndicate. However, their challenges escalate when they find themselves facing an onslaught of mutants.
The film has enjoyed considerable success, amassing a global box office gross of $167 million and earning a commendable 96% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, as acclaimed by critics.
In addition to Ayo Edibiri, the movie features a talented ensemble cast, including Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, Jackie Chan, and Ice Cube, among others.
“Mutant Mayhem” is presented by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Ramsay McBean, and Josh Fagen serve as executive producers.
