Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has once again delighted fans of video game music by releasing a new collection of game soundtracks on Spotify, the popular music streaming platform. This latest drop includes the official soundtracks (OSTs) for several beloved games, such as Gravity Rush, Shadow of the Colossus, Wild Arms, and PoPoLoCrois.

These additions expand the already impressive discography of the SIE Sound Team, which features soundtracks from other fan-favorite games like Bloodborne and The Last Guardian.

Shadow of the Colossus

A Musical Feast for Gamers

Video game enthusiasts and music lovers alike can now immerse themselves in the captivating soundscapes of these iconic games, as the soundtracks are available for free streaming on Spotify. The inclusion of these OSTs on the platform provides easy access to the rich musical worlds of these games, allowing fans to relive their favorite gaming moments through sound.

For the time being, these newly added game soundtracks are exclusive to Spotify and have not yet made their way to other music streaming platforms such as Apple Music. Sony’s decision to release these OSTs on Spotify continues the trend of making video game music more accessible to a wider audience through popular streaming services.

A Growing Trend in Game Music Accessibility

The availability of game soundtracks on streaming platforms has been a welcome development for fans, with Spotify already hosting a variety of iconic game OSTs from series like Destiny, Elden Ring, Silent Hill, and Final Fantasy. This growing library of game music on streaming services highlights the increasing recognition of video game soundtracks as a legitimate and valued form of musical expression.

For those who hold a special place in their hearts for the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack, there’s even more to explore. Sam Hughes, an audio designer at Remedy Games, has curated an extensive Spotify playlist featuring every song from the game, totaling an impressive 2710 tracks and approximately 135 hours of music.

This monumental playlist offers fans the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the epic and emotional soundscape of Shadow of the Colossus.

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s latest release of game soundtracks onto Spotify is a treat for video game music enthusiasts around the world. With easy access to the immersive soundtracks of Gravity Rush, Shadow of the Colossus, Wild Arms, and PoPoLoCrois, fans can relive their favorite gaming moments and appreciate the artistry of video game music like never before.

As the trend of making game music more accessible continues to grow, we can only hope to see more soundtracks from Sony and other game developers make their way onto streaming platforms in the future.
