Capcom’s latest reveal for “Street Fighter 6” brings a sartorial twist to the iconic fighting game series. The much-anticipated Outfit 3 costumes for characters like Cammy, Ken, Lily, Blanka-chan, and Zangief were showcased, complete with concept art and screenshots. Director Takayuki Nakayama’s insights add an extra layer of intrigue to these fashionable updates.

A Diverse Array of Styles

Since Zangief's two other outfits are already pro-wrestler-like, for Outfit 3, we decided to go with a version of Zangief who is a well-read man and can also compete strategically.

The Outfit 3 collection introduces an array of unique styles for the characters:

  • Zangief’s Polished Persona: Zangief dons a sophisticated suit, complemented by glasses and tasteful gold jewelry. This ensemble adds a touch of elegance to his formidable presence.
  • Blanka’s Playful Alter Ego: Blanka’s transformation into Blanka-chan pays homage to the character’s history. The design is inspired by the familiar dolls and imagery associated with Blanka over the years, adding a playful edge to his fierce persona.
  • Ken’s Cleaner Look: A fresh twist on Ken’s appearance is presented with a “what if” scenario. This cleaner, more refined outfit departs from his usual rugged style, showcasing a different side of the martial arts master.
  • Lily’s Cultural Tribute: Lily’s Outfit 3 is a vibrant celebration of her Mexican heritage. The design and color scheme are deeply rooted in this cultural background, bringing a personal touch to her combat attire.
  • Cammy’s Nostalgic Callback: Cammy’s new outfit pays tribute to her past. It’s a nod to the jacket she wore in the introduction of “Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie,” blending nostalgia with modern flair.

Ready for Action

This Blanka-chan Outfit 3 was created to respect the ease of battle, along with his story setting. We worked with the battle team to make sure everyone is happy.

“Street Fighter 6” players on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC can look forward to donning these new costumes starting December 1, 2023.

Ken looks different in his Outfit 3 with a cleaner lower body where you can see his kicking in a new light. My guess is that he spent his time off dressed like this before JP framed him. He's also interested in motorsports.

This fashion-forward update not only refreshes the visual appeal of these beloved characters but also adds depth to their stories and backgrounds. Fans are eager to see their favorite fighters showcasing these new looks in the heat of battle, further enriching the Street Fighter experience.

I wanted Outfit 3 to represent Lily's ethnicity, so we came up with this cute outfit using the colors from the Mexican flag. Her hairstyle is also drastically different, which I like. The design of her pogamoggans also differ from outfit to outfit.

The coat from Cammy's Outfit 3 is inspired by the one she wore in the movie. You could only see the back of this outfit from the illustration in her master conversation in World Tour. This outfit fits well on the London stage.
