Retro role-playing fans have a tantalizing new option for their dungeon delving needs. Publishers PQube and Acquire have joined forces to unleash “Class of Heroes 1 & 2: Complete Edition” – an HD remastered compilation containing the iconic Class of Heroes and Class of Heroes 2G games.
This double pack is now available on PC via Steam as well as the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch platforms. The ports bring the cult classic Japanese dungeon crawlers to modern systems with a fresh coat of high-definition polish.
In Class of Heroes, players take on the role of a first-year student at the prestigious Particus Academy. Their task? Build the ultimate adventuring party by selecting from a diverse array of races, classes, courses, and alignments. Combat mastery and party synergy are key as players brave randomly generated dungeons teeming with deadly monsters.

The sequel, Class of Heroes 2G, expands the formula with three distinct schools to attend, 10 unique classes, 18 different courses, and 3 alignments for students. This opens up seemingly endless party customization opportunities. Players will need to strategically construct their ideal six-student squad to take on over 100 new remixed dungeon maps populated by swarming enemy hordes.
“Pay attention to different class-alignment affinities to ensure your party gets the boost it needs in those sticky situations,” advises the publisher. Adventurers can even collect artifacts and unlock inter-dimensional travel mechanics.
