It’s time for the Forger family to embark on another top-secret mission. The wildly popular spy comedy anime Spy x Family has officially been renewed for a third season, promising even more hilarious undercover hijinks are on the way.
The announcement arrived over the weekend via MangaMoguraRE on X (formerly Twitter), complete with an adorable new teaser illustration depicting the pint-sized psychic Anya and her canine companion Bond surrounded by toys and knickknacks at home.
While no release window or episode count for Spy x Family season 3 has been revealed yet, the new season will likely adapt the manga’s eventful “Red Circus Arc” after wrapping up the remaining chapters of the “WISE Arc” and “Friendship Schemes Arc” from season 2.
For fans of Tatsuya Endo’s original Shonen Jump+ manga, the Red Circus Arc is considered one of the most thrilling and comedic arcs yet. It dials up the stakes and laughs in equal measure as the undercover Forger family finds themselves entangled in an outrageous circus conspiracy.

“The Red Circus Arc is where Spy x Family really kicks into high gear with its most over-the-top storyline so far,” said anime director Kazuhiro Furuhashi. “Animated, it’s sure to deliver some of the series’ biggest laugh-out-loud moments coupled with intense spy action you won’t want to miss.”
Since its premiere in 2022, Spy x Family has emerged as a runaway hit showcasing the heartwarming misadventures of a haphazardly assembled nuclear family. The seemingly normal Forgers are actually an elite spy (dad Loid), an assassin (mom Yor), and a psychic child (Anya) masquerading as a typical household to carry out an elaborate mission.
Balancing whimsical family comedy with thrilling spy capers and action, the anime quickly amassed a passionate following captivated by its zany premise and likable characters. Its first season ranked among 2022’s most acclaimed and popular new series.
With season 2 having just wrapped its run in December 2023, fans won’t have to wait too long to rejoin the delightfully dysfunctional Forgers on their latest covert operation. Wherever this quirky faux family ends up next, you can count on Spy x Family’s third season to deliver an explosively funny spy romp.
