Are you ready for some serious 90s anime nostalgia? One of the most loved shows from that era, Ranma 1/2, is coming back with a remake that’s sure to give fans major feels.
Based on Rumiko Takahashi’s super popular manga, the new Ranma 1/2 series just dropped its first full trailer along with an air date. We finally know when we can check it out – Saturday, October 5, 2024 on Netflix! Before that, it’ll premiere on Japanese TV at 12:55am.
The remake is being made by animation studio MAPPA, known for their amazing visuals. Best part? The original voice actors for Ranma, Akane, and the whole crew are all returning too.

With MAPPA at the helm, the remake is bound to be gorgeous to look at. Following their hit revival of another Rumiko classic, Urusei Yatsura, anticipation is through the roof. The previews make it seem like this Ranma reboot will totally deliver.
