Fans of Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic “Beetlejuice” have plenty to get excited for as the long-awaited sequel prepares to hit theaters. In a major marketing push, Regal Cinemas has unveiled three collectible popcorn buckets paying homage to memorable elements from the original film. Even better, eager audiences can secure tickets to early screenings of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” on September 4th, treating Burton devotees to an early glimpse of the director’s return to a franchise that helped define his signature style.

Set to once again terrify and delight audiences with his antics, Michael Keaton reprises his iconic role as the ghost with the most. Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara also reunite for the sequel, stepping back into their beloved characters of Goth teen Lydia Deetz and her overly enthusiastic realtor mother Delia. Under Burton’s direction, references indicate the new film will continue exploring the offbeat relationships and themes that made the first such a memorable cult hit.

Available while supplies last, Regal’s collectible buckets charmingly recreate iconic objects from the original. Fans can choose from a miniature model of the attic display, a recreation of the “Handbook for the Recently Deceased,” or a bucket modeled after the giant sandworm. Playful social media teasers from Regal reference the film’s creepy brand of humor to drum up interest in the limited-edition merch.

Take your place in the afterlife. Special early screenings of #Beetlejuice #Beetlejuice in 4DX, ScreenX, RPX, and IMAX start September 4 at 7PM! Get your tickets now! https://t.co/bTiJtWpMOl pic.twitter.com/OLzO6jZaQc

For Burton, the sequel offered a chance to rediscover his joy in moviemaking. In an interview with Empire magazine, the auteur expressed feeling disillusioned with studios but finding new passion through reconnecting with the characters and universe he first brought to life over 30 years ago. Lydia, in particular, remains an avatar for Burton even today.

With anticipation growing, fans will have multiple chances to experience “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” thanks to Regal’s early September 4th screenings. Whether seeking more of the offbeat adventure that made the original a cult classic or simply curious about Burton revisiting old creative roots, audiences finally have their long-awaited chance to return to the strange and unusual world of Beetlejuice.
