The long-awaited ” Wicked ” movie version from Universal Pictures will be available digitally on December 31, 2024. The movie directed by Jon M. Chu is still getting great reviews in theaters. You can also buy it digitally for $29.99 or rent it for $14.99 on most streaming services.
This digital version will include many extras, like a sing-along tool and more than three hours of extra content. People can watch the movie on sites like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.
“Wicked” will be released on February 4, 2025, on 4K UHD, Blu-rayTM, and DVD for people who like to watch movies on disc. These editions will have two audio tracks: one with director Jon M. Chu and one with stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
One of the extra features that stands out is an interview with Jeff Goldblum, who plays the Wizard. This section shows how the Wizard’s mechanical head was made behind the scenes, with comments from Christopher Clarke, a senior special effects technician.
The release will also include footage that has never been seen before. Fans can look forward to longer scenes with Evita Erivo as Fiyero and Jonathan Bailey as Elphaba in the forest, more time in Emerald City, and the original “toss toss” training scene between the main characters.
Fans of the story are still excited because “Wicked: For Good” is set to come out in theaters on November 21, 2025. It looks like the famous story from Oz will continue elsewhere.
