Harington, who portrayed Jon Snow, and Ramsey, who played Lyanna Mormont, sat down for an interview with Interview Magazine to discuss their experiences, including a memorable scene from their first meeting.
Ramsey, who was 11 years old at the time, recalled a moment when she helped Harington with his lines during a scene. “I remember it quite vividly and have some remorse for it now,” she said, explaining that she was mouthing his lines to him to help him out. Harington, laughing at the memory, confirmed the incident, adding, “It was quite humiliating. But yeah, thanks for that. I’ve probably chosen to forget it.”
Despite the humor, Harington praised Ramsey’s acting skills, noting her surprising confidence and clarity. “You brought a confidence and clarity that was quite unusual for a young actor,” he remarked, emphasizing how she made it feel like working with a more experienced performer.
Ramsey, reflecting on her role as her first professional acting job, mentioned that she had no real expectations for the experience. “I was coming into it very much blind,” she said. “I weirdly wasn’t nervous at all, because I never knew that I wanted to be an actor.”
The duo’s lighthearted conversation highlights their respect for each other’s talents and their time together on the iconic series, which remains a cultural touchstone even after its conclusion in 2019.
