The Jonas Brothers are set to make a nostalgic comeback to Disney with a new holiday comedy film slated for Disney+ release during the 2025 holiday season. The project marks a significant homecoming for Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, reuniting with the entertainment company that originally launched their career.
The yet-untitled holiday movie will follow the three brothers on a comedic journey, racing against time to return home from London to New York for Christmas with their families. Oscar-winning director Jessica Yu, known for her work on “Quiz Lady” and “This Is Us,” will helm the production.
An experienced creative team is behind the project. Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger will serve as writers and producers, while the Jonas Brothers themselves take on producer roles alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, and Scott Morgan. Grammy nominee Justin Tranter will contribute as executive music producer, creating original songs for the film.
The brothers announced the project through a playful promotional video, showcasing their trademark humor. Standing on a snow-covered porch decorated for the holidays, they revealed the news using a series of handwritten message cards, with Joe and Nick engaging in their characteristic comedic banter.
This film represents a full-circle moment for the band, who first gained popularity through Disney in the late 2000s. Their early career included appearances on the Disney Channel, starring in the “Camp Rock” franchise, and headlining their own series “Jonas.” They originally signed with Hollywood Records in 2007 and released multiple successful albums.
The announcement comes during a productive period for the group, following their sixth studio album “The Album” in 2023. Since reuniting in 2019 with their comeback single “Sucker” – their first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 – the Jonas Brothers continue to maintain their strong commercial appeal and connection with fans.
