Santa Monica Studio has already confirmed that in God of War: Ragnarok we are going to visit all nine kingdoms from Norse mythology, and the developers apparently decided to expand the game by dropping more beasts and creatures into the title. We are to meet as many as 11 different factions in the latest adventure.
Yesterday, Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming provided an overview of the time required to complete God of War Ragnarok, and today the insider is continuing his presentation of the game and has unveiled further very interesting details of Santa Monica Studio’s latest epic adventure.
We are to meet 11 diverse factions in the exclusive production heading to PS5 and PS4, and they will be found in the Nine Kingdoms.
The groups are made up of monsters, giants, gods, beasts and humans. This is how the specifics look with descriptions:
- Aesir – Described as Gods who will rule the Nine Realms.
- Beasts – Described as animals who wander the lands as predators or prey.
- Dwarves – Described as masters of forging legendary weapons and armor.
- Elves – Described as two factions of Light and Dark that battle for control of the Light of Alfheim.
- Ethereal – Described as ghosts and phantoms who wander between the Nine Lands.
- Humans – Described as scavengers.
- Jotnar – Described as the last giants who hide to pass on their knowledge after the genocide at the hands of Odin.
- Monsters – Described as creatures from Norse mythology.
- Nelwalkers – Described as the revived corpses of Helheim’s overflowing souls, who are cursed to walk the Nine Lands.
- Seidr – Described as people who are corrupted by seior magic.
- Vanir – Described as Gods who fought against the Aesir and lost.
In God of War: Ragnarok we are sure to encounter some familiar factions or creatures, though we can be sure that the production will be substantially expanded from the previous installment.
Indeed, the studio is set to provide more than a dozen hours of additional content, which is hardly surprising given that the game will feature many new locations.
We should certainly mention that this is not official information, however, as you can see Tom Henderson has come to a very specific source and may be presenting further information on God of War: Ragnarok.
