The speculations that Marvel fans have been floating around for a while have come true. During the Comic-Con event in San Diego, it was announced that Daredevil is set to return in a new series that will hit the Disney+ platform. The premiere of the production, titled Daredevil: Born Again has been scheduled for 2024.
The series’ first season will have as many as 18 episodes (so far, series released on Disney+ have had fewer episodes). Charlie Cox will once again play the main character. There will also be an appearance by Vincent D’Onofrio in the role of the ruler of the criminal world – the Kingpin.
We have previously seen both characters consecutively in the productions Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye. The writers and executive producers of the title are Matt Corman and Chris Ord.
We will also see Daredevil in Echo, which is scheduled for next year, and (as we learned from a new trailer) Patron: She-Hulk, which is set to debut on Disney+ this August 17.
The protagonist of the series Daredevil: Born Again will be blind lawyer Matt Murdock, who by day fights in the courtroom and by night wages a personal war against crime as a masked superhero.
As an interesting fact, let’s add that Born Again is the title of a 1986 comic book story written by Frank Miller. Its storyline was loosely adapted by the screenwriters of the third series of Daredevil, which was finished after the character returned from Netflix to Disney.
